On November 21st, Permanent Representative of China to ESCAP Mr. Ye Xuenong attended the "2024 Asia-Pacific Care Champions" event and received the award of "Policy Powerhouses: Crafting Tomorrow’s Care Systems" on behalf of the Chinese government.

    In his remarks, Mr. Ye stated that the Chinese government has been actively engaged in the field of care economy, committed to creating a favorable policy environment, promoting digital care service platforms, and actively participating in international cooperation projects. Currently, the field of care economy is still facing numerous challenges. China is willing to continue to work jointly with all parties to create a bright future for the care economy in the Asia-Pacific region.

    The awards of "2024 Asia-Pacific Care Champions" are jointly presented by ESCAP and UN Women. It aims to recognize governments, organizations and individuals  that have made outstanding contributions in care.
