On September 17, the 25th China-Mekong River Commission (MRC) dialogue meeting was held via video link. Mr. Ke Yousheng, Permanent Representative of China to the UNESCAP, led the delegation of China to the meeting. Delegates from the Ministry of Water Resources of China and the Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation Center participated. The two sides fully affirmed the positive progress achieved in water resources management cooperation in the past year. The MRC member countries highly appreciated China's sharing of the Lancang River's hydrological data for the whole year. The two sides agreed to strengthen unity and work together to address challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, and jointly promote cooperation in hydrological information sharing, joint research, water resources management etc., so as to advance building back better and sustainable development in the subregion.
