Chinese Delegation Attended the 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development

The 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development was held on 24-27 February 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. Mr. Ye Xuenong, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific led a delegation to attend the forum. Representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China, the Ministry of Water Resources of China and China Economic and Social Council participated in the delegation.

The Chinese delegation shared important thoughts of Chinese President Xi Jinping on sustainable development and showcased China’s achievements in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development over the past decade. China called for collective efforts to strengthen solidarity and cooperation, fostering a stable and open environment for development, cultivating new drivers of innovation, advancing green and low-carbon development and building mutually beneficial partnership for development, so as to transform the 2030 Agenda from a vision into reality. China underscored its commitment, as the APEC host this year, to working with all parties to inject greater vitality and impetus into the sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific and promote the building of an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future.

During the forum, side events on topics such as drinking water safety and technologies for sustainable development as well as a technology exhibition were held by China. China also participated in and delivered speeches at side events on topics including confronting the crisis of sinking cities and disability inclusion, actively sharing its practical experiences in these fields.
